About us
We are a group of 3 who like to read books, eat
nice meals and combine these interests in regular meetings. We live
in the Richmond/Kingston area in Surrey and met at an evening class
in Twickenham making jewellery. Since then, we have kept in touch
and set up a reading club. One of our number is a Homeopath, one
is a manager from Microsoft and the other is a computing consultant
who is teaching herself web design through developing this web site.
Our choices of book have been fairly random so
far - we definitely judge a book by its cover - usually through
the window of a bookshop. The reason for this is that our tastes
are so diverse we cannot agree what to read. However, we have realised
that most of the books chosen this way are not to the taste of any
of us, so we have started to choose books recommended elsewhere.
This Blinding Absence of Light was highly recommended by the Saturday
Times reading club, so we'll see how we get on with that.
We hope you enjoy our recommendations -
both books and local restaurants.
