Gems on the Thames We are a group of 3 who met at a jewellery evening class at the Richmond Adult Community College a few years ago. Whilst bashing pieces of metal into odd shapes, we discovered a shared interest in reading and eating out. We continue to meet - not to make jewellery - but to discuss books and sample some of the local restaurants. Our tastes in books are so diverse, we have never been able to agree on a book that we would all like to read. We have devised a method for choosing a book which involves browsing a bookshop window and choosing a cover that appeals to us. The only stipulation is that none of us should have heard of the book or author. It has resulted in some interesting choices. We hope you enjoy our reviews -
